Founded in 1944 under the name Kyungsung Precision Industry in South Korea, Kia was originally a manufacturer of bicycle parts and steel tubing, eventually going on to produce the Sumchully, Korea’s first domestic bicycle.
The company changed its name to Kia Industries in 1952 and went on to produce licenced trucks and motorcycles for Mazda until opening its first vehicle assembly plant in in 1973.
In 1986, Kia joined forces with Ford to manufacture and export its own brand of cars to North America and Australasia as the Ford Aspire and Ford Festiva.
We have a wide range of models of the classic Kia hatchback, including the versatile, comfortable and ever popular Kia Sportage, ideal for families which comes in a variety of engine sizes from 1.0L to 2.0L in both manual or automatic transmission.
We also have vehicles from Kia’s SUV and family car range, such as the Sorento and Niro. The Sorento comes with 2.2L engine and either a 6speed or 8speed transmission, whereas the Niro sports a eco-friendly 1.6L hybrid engine.
